Falling flat on your face sucks, even harder is picking up the pieces after a fall, acknowledging that things are your fault and thanking God for the fall. Every once in a while we make mistakes which happen to cause us to take a look at ourselves, take a look inside and grow, more often than not, we as people neglect to take that look inside and face ourselves. I fell on my face this week, I needed to, it is time that I will always remember, one of those turning points. I could very easily forget my faults and not take ownership for my shitty behavior, but I have come too far. I look back at the past and all of the monumental times when I fell flat on my face and I feel blessed that I am where I am in my life and that I have moved forward and I am gracious for the people who believe in me and I will not be defined by my screw ups. It's a time for change, a time to face my worst enemy and also my best friend, "Me". The hardest part is thanking God for my failures, but that's what I choose to do. If I hadn't made the mistakes that I have made in my life, I would not be "Me" and would not have this opportunity to grow, I probably wouldn't be where I am right now. As much as things suck when we fail, we must always pick up the pieces and confront ourselves, turning over a new leaf is change and change is good. Change is constant. Better days are always ahead if we learn from the moment. That's my choice.
