New lesson for me.
Don't ever try to force things!!!
It never works. Sometimes you just need to realize that NOW is pretty good and take what is handed to you and enjoy it, whatever that it may be. I have really begun to notice that every moment has great things in it...even the little things like waiting in line at the DMV. You never know who you can meet or who's day that you might brighten by just being you and being happy and making the best of the cards that you are dealt. There are a lot of things in life that I do which I may feel like I don't want to do and there are a lot of things in life that I may want to do, but don't feel like doing. Really, when I sit back and notice that I am doing precisely what I should be doing right now, I realize that I want to be doing what I am doing. It's a funny little circle but in the end it keeps me happy no matter what it is that I do! There is a purpose and a reason for anything and I have chosen to find the good in every moment that passes. I'm grateful for these lessons and even more grateful for the people who are around me while I am learning them.
I love you all!~

Being Grateful

The last couple of days were a little bit funny for me. I was excited about some things that were going particularly well in my life and then, I became comfortable. I have a lot that I am trying to accomplish these days and when my comfort got interrupted it threw me off big time. The person who I am, who embraces change and thrives in it didn't want things to change and I sorta lost my mojo. Like dominoes one problem created another and then another and sooner or later I had become less positive and things felt like they were all of a sudden impossible. This is not like me at all. How was I going to get out of this?
After a lot of self loathing and complaining and me dropping my misery on the people I consider close to me, I realised that I was doing this to myself. How was I going to pull myself out of this funk?
And then it came to me....be grateful. I realised that I am one of the luckiest people that I know, I have gifts that I am aware of, great friends and I am always warm even when its cold. I have a family that loves me and who shows me that love and I am able to live in the moment. Being grateful changed my whole perspective. I noticed that I am pleased with my life and while sometimes people do not see things my way, I am respected because I live in MY moment and have confidence in my abilities. More and more I became aware of how truly lucky I am.
Now I have many things that I want to do. Some of the people around me right now haven't seen me in a while and may not fully comprehend my philosophy, but it is one that works for me and works well. With my being thankful my relationships again balanced out and my problems quickly began to resolve themselves and I was able to fix what I had disrupted in my own life and the smile came back to my face. With that smile and that inner happiness that I had reattained the joy not only came back to my face but the faces of all the people around me. Life is great.
We are only human and sometimes we fall off of our paths, but the more and more we learn to appreciate NOW and live in our moment the better our life gets. Once we realise that LIFE wants us to be happy and for us to do the things that we want and we "go confidently in the direction of our dreams" we begin to bear fruit. We need to learn that there is both good and bad in everything and once we begin to embrace our mistakes, we learn from them and our mistakes become less and less. We are put here to be happy people and we deserve what is good, so embrace life and love yourself and all of the people around you.
Life is too short....PLAY HARD!!!
Soon things just start to go your way as long as that is what you create for yourself in YOUR world.
It's your choice!
